Advanced rock climbing course

Continuing rock climbing course is a two-day course for those who want to learn to climb outdoors on routes with natural belays such as wedges and cam belays (friends). You can see more information about course content below.

We who run the courses are authorized instructors through the Swedish Climbing Association and all courses follow the Swedish Climbing Association's standards.
Pontus Frank is the main instructor and has many years of experience as an instructor. With great passion, he teaches you what you need to know for your next adventure.

Course content
Among other things, we go through the placement of belays, route climbing with your own belays, how to act as a "second man", abseiling and multiple abseiling, stands and multipitch climbing, knots and rope handling. This course is adapted to your wishes and conditions, so the content may vary. We can sometimes also do double rope technique, auxiliary lift (mate rescue), clogging etc

Length of the course
Two days, about 8 hours per day. We always try to make it so it's two days in a row.

Previous knowledge
To get as far as possible on this course, a red card (climbing card) is good if you have it, but it is not a requirement. You can get the red card via Klätterhuset in Luleå or through Luleå Klätterklubb.

Place
We basically always hold the continuing courses in rock climbing at Dödlarsberget outside Älvsbyn. But if you have other wishes, please let us know.
When registering for the course, you will receive more information about where we meet.

Equipment
You can borrow the equipment you need from us, but if you have your own equipment, we would like you to use it, so you will be comfortable with what you have. Regardless, we have different equipment with us that you can try out. But your own harness, rope brake, climbing shoes are fine if you have them.
Everyone on the course must wear a helmet when necessary, we have it for you if you don't have one. After the course, you can order climbing equipment through us at a good package price.

Award
SEK 2700/person, minimum two and maximum four people per instructor. Sometimes we have an assistant instructor with us and then we can increase to 6 participants.
