In addition to a guided snowmobile tour, northern lights hunting and a city tour included in Explore Luleå Weekend, this travel package also gives you the chance to experience one of the most popular winter activities – a dog sled ride through our magical winter wonderland.
Your 4* hotel is located in the city center, you can take a nice walk and enjoy a typical Swedish coffee at one of the cozy cafes. Luleå city also offers shopping and several nice white-guide certified restaurants.
If you're still not tired after all the included activities, you can go skiing, skating or kicking on the ice trail that stretches from the North Harbor to the South Harbor. Our internationally renowned ice trail attracts people from all over the world! Here there are many kilometers of the Baltic Sea's frozen natural ice that offers a unique experience!
Another attraction in our fantastic city is located just outside Luleå's city center. On the UNESCO World Heritage List Gammelstad Church Town. You can visit the World Heritage Site on your own or with a guide.

Upon arrival at Luleå Airport, you will be welcomed by one of our guides, who will then drive you to your accommodation in Luleå city center. After checking into your hotel room, the rest of the day is open to exploring the city. You can stroll around the city center, sit down at a cozy café and have a coffee or check out one of the many restaurants.
On either Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening you will experience Northern Lights hunting by car, which night is chosen closer to the date based on the best Northern Lights forecast. The Northern Lights hunt starts at 20.00 and ends at 23.00.
After enjoying a varied breakfast buffet, a guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at 9:30 AM to drive you to Mörön see map here where the snowmobile tour starts at 10:00. For two hours you will experience the winter paradise while driving through the forest and the Luleå archipelago. After the tour you will be driven back to your hotel where you can take a nice hot shower before setting off on your next adventure.

On today's schedule is the dog sled tour "Fikaturen" in the morning and the city walk in the afternoon. Again, one of our guides will meet you in the lobby to give you a ride. This activity starts at 9:00 AM. The strong dogs will lead you through woods and meadows for an hour while you enjoy the beautiful scenery. The guide drives you, which provides a great opportunity to take pictures from the sled. When the tour is complete, you will be able to sit down and have coffee before returning to the hotel. The entire activity lasts 1.5 to 2.5 hours. When you are back in the hotel room, you will have enough time to have a nice lunch before meeting your guide in the hotel lobby for the city tour. Now you will learn about Luleå's history but also about life in Norrlandet in those days and how the entire region developed within centuries. The entire hike covers 3 – 5 km and the activity lasts 1.5 hours.

After a wonderful weekend in Luleå, it is time to travel home. If you have a couple of hours before departure, you can have time to relax or do one last activity. But if you have an early flight, it's time to get ready and check out of your hotel. One of our guides will drive you to the airport and we wish you a safe journey home.
