Ice & Light village – Igloos

Experience the unique luxury of our igloos for two. Start the morning with a hot cup of coffee while looking out over the fantastic landscape. With a little luck, you will see deer, moose, foxes and other wildlife in their natural environment from the window. From the front of the igloo you have an unobstructed view of the forest and the sky, and on clear nights you can expect, with a little luck, an unforgettable spectacle when the northern lights dance in the sky.

A world of possibilities awaits you in the Ice & Light Village – a perfect combination of relaxation and adventure to fully enjoy the beauty of winter. Go on an exciting snowmobile tour, learn Nordic outdoor skills, try ice fishing or enjoy the silence on a snowshoe hike. A very special experience is our northern lights hunt, where you can admire the magical spectacle of the night sky.

Accommodation

Ice and Light Village is located 30 kilometers south of Luleå, in the small village of "Mörön". The igloos stand in a forest clearing, right next to a large open field. Surrounded by beautiful nature in a very quiet area, this place provides relaxation and a break from everyday life. With the beautiful view, you have a good chance of seeing the northern lights.

We have five Igloos and ten overnight guests at a time. This makes us a very exclusive.
Our igloos are located approximately 100 to 150 meters from our restaurant and activity center. A cozy refuge awaits you during the day in a heated tipi tent with reindeer skins. We have fireplaces and a small bar - perfect for relaxing between activities.

Each igloo is equipped with:

Note that Wifi is available in our restaurant and activity center, but not in the igloos so you can fully relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Due to our location outside the city centre, we offer our packages with half board.
Since we have two different dinners to choose from in our Ice & Light Village, we offer different packages for overnight stays.

All our packages are based on 2 people for 2 nights. Alternatively, you can of course book additional nights.

Seasonal Pricing:
Due to high demand during the holiday season, an increase of 10 % will apply to the nightly price of our igloos from December 20th to January 5th.

To make your stay more comfortable, we offer:

Winter coveralls, boots and gloves for the entire stay
Free access to kick-sleds to explore the area
Cross-country skis to rent on site (with supplement)

Our team is happy to make recommendations about activities in Luleå during your free time, and you are welcome to participate in more of ours activities to make the most of your visit to Luleå.

Details

Our igloos are located approximately 100 to 150 meters from our restaurant and activity center. A cozy refuge awaits you during the day in a heated tipi tent with reindeer skins. We have fireplaces and a small bar - perfect for relaxing between activities.

If you have booked a 3-course dinner, you can enjoy it in the evening from 18.00 to 20.00 in our restaurant, which we affectionately call "The Museum".
Alternatively, our hearty stew is waiting for you in the tipi tent from 16.00 – 18.00, where you can enjoy our dinner in a relaxed atmosphere.

The children Can choose between the three-course menu or a single course with dessert in the "Museet", or a hot stew in a tipi tent.

Lunch: We also offer a selection of light lunch dishes on site. As some tours can be booked with lunch, you can book lunch at the Ice & Light Village afterwards.

Lunch on site: SEK 180 / person

Outdoor lunch (in combination with one of our activities): SEK 400 / person

If you have your own car, you also have the opportunity to spend a day in the city and visit one of the restaurants there.

All beverages payable on site except for a three-course dinner when three drinks are included of beer, wine or a non-alcoholic alternative.

For families who are interested in staying in our unique igloos, please note that each igloo can comfortably accommodate either an infant or a baby, who can share a bed with you or sleep in a small extra bed that we provide. For families with children aged 4-17, two igloos must be booked to ensure everyone has plenty of space.

Alternatively, for a more spacious and family-friendly option, consider our charming 'The Forest House'. It is specially designed for families and offers extra comfort and amenities.

Recommended Tours and Snowmobile Insurance

We encourage guests to explore the local environment by booking tours with us. Mörön offers magnificent nature, even though it is a remote area. By booking tours, you ensure an enriching experience during your stay. Tours can be booked directly here.

When booking a snowmobile tour, we recommend adding insurance for your security. Please read through the insurance conditions.

Spa experience

After a delicious dinner, you can treat yourself to complete relaxation at our spa. Choose between two experiences:

Nature Spa (18:00 – 20:00 after dinner in the tipi tent) – surround yourself with the peace and beauty of nature. Here you can relax in a harmonious environment inspired by nature, perfect for recharging and finding peace. Book here.
