Ice & Light village – Igloos

Experience the unique luxury of our igloos for two. Start your morning with a hot cup of coffee while you look out over the fantastic landscape. In the surrounding forest, moose, foxes and other wild animals live in their natural environment, which you may be lucky enough to see. From the front of the igloo you have an unobstructed view of the forest and the sky. On clear nights, with a little luck, you can witness an unforgettable spectacle when the Northern Lights dance in the sky.

Go on an exciting snowmobile tour, learn Nordic outdoor skills, try ice fishing or enjoy the silence on a snowshoe hike. A very special experience is our northern lights hunt, where you can admire the magical spectacle of the night sky.

Accommodation

Ice and Light Village is located 30 kilometers south of Luleå, in the small village of “Mörön”, on the coast of Swedish Lapland. The igloos are located in a forest clearing, right next to an open field. Surrounded by beautiful nature in a very quiet area, this place invites you to relax and take a break from everyday life. With the beautiful and open view, you have a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights from your igloo.

We have five Igloos with the possibility of sleeping ten guests at a time. This makes us a very exclusive accommodation option in Swedish Lapland.
The igloos are located about 100-150 meters from our restaurant and activity center. Our reindeer skin tipi tent is a cozy retreat during the day. We have fireplaces and a small bar - perfect for relaxing between activities.

Each igloo is equipped with:

Combustion toilet
Shower
Floor heating
Air heat pump
Smaller fridge for drinks
Kettle, coffee and tea

Note that Wifi is available in our restaurant and activity center, but not in the igloos so you can fully relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.

When staying overnight in one of our igloos, breakfast is included in the price.

Due to our location outside the city center, we strongly recommend that you book dinner with us as there are no restaurants nearby and it is not permitted to consume meals in the igloos.

To make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable, we offer:

Winter overalls, boots and gloves to borrow for the entire stay
Free access to "kick" throughout your stay
Cleaning after your stay
Headlamps to borrow during the entire stay
Cross-country skis for rent subject to availability

Our team is happy to provide recommendations for activities in Luleå during your time here, and you are welcome to participate in more of our activities to make the most of your visit to Luleå.

Late check-in will incur an additional fee, please contact us for more information.

If you have booked our three-course dinner, you can enjoy it between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM in our restaurant, which we lovingly call "The Museum".

Children can choose a three-course menu or a single course with dessert.

Lunch: We offer light lunch dishes on site, but some of our activities include lunch.

Lunch on site: SEK 180 / person

All drink is paid on site and is not included in the price of the three-course dinner.

For families Please note that each igloo can accommodate two adults. If you wish to bring a child aged 1-6, they can either share a bed with you or sleep in a smaller extra bed that we provide. For families with children aged 7-17, two igloos need to be booked to ensure everyone has plenty of space.

For a more spacious and family-friendly option, consider our charming “The Forest Cabin.” The Forest Cabin offers extra comfort and convenience for families.

After a delicious dinner, you can treat yourself to relaxation in our spa. Enjoy a sauna or relax in one of our hot tubs. We have two different times for the spa:

Spa in nature 18:00 – 20:00 – Surround yourself with the peace and beauty of nature. Relax in a harmonious environment inspired by nature, perfect for recharging your batteries and finding peace. Book here.
Aurora spa 20:30 – 23:00 – for a magical evening experience, book Aurora Spa. With a little luck, you can see the Northern Lights dancing above you while you soak in one of our hot tubs. Book here.
