Ice and Light Village is located 30 kilometers south of Luleå, in the small charming village of ”Mörön”, on the coast of Swedish Lapland. The igloos stand in a forest clearing, right next to an open field. Surrounded by beautiful nature in a very quiet area, this place invites you to relax and take a break from everyday life.
We have five Igloos with the ability to accommodate ten guests at a time, making us a unique accommodation option in Swedish Lapland.
The igloos are located about 100-150 meters from our restaurant and activity center. Upon arrival, you will be helped to take your bags to your igloo and you will walk along the meadow or our cozy illuminated path through the forest. We have a fireplace in the restaurant and a small bar - perfect for relaxing between activities.

Note that Wifi is available in our restaurant and activity center, but not in the igloos so you can fully relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.
When staying overnight in one of our igloos, breakfast is included for two people and is served between 08:30-10:00. The breakfast consists of our typical Swedish version with yogurt, eggs, bread with spreads, some sweet, juice, milk, coffee and tea. It is served as a small buffet.
Due to our location outside the city center, we strongly recommend that you book a two-course dinner in our cozy restaurant as there are no restaurants nearby and it is not allowed to eat meals in the igloos. We rotate three different fixed two-course menus over three days. Book at least the day before.

If you have booked our two-course dinner, starter and main course, you will enjoy it between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM in our restaurant, which we lovingly call ”The Museum”. We rotate three different fixed two-course menus over three days. Book at least the day before.
Children Can choose a two-course menu, starter and main course, children's price up to 12 years. Book at least the day before.
Lunch: We offer light lunches on site and some of our activities include lunch. You need to let us know the day before if you would like lunch.
Lunch on site: 180 SEK / person, 130 SEK / child.
All drink is paid on site and is not included in the price of the dinner.
Transfer: We collaborate with a taxi company, when booking accommodation in the igloo you can book a taxi to us from Luleå city center / airport / train station at a more favorable price. Information on how to book will be provided upon booking confirmation.
Info about Igloo: At temperatures colder than about -15 degrees it becomes difficult for our heater to heat the space between the Igloo shell and the cabin, which means that the window around the Igloo is not completely clear to see through. Most often the area in front of the cabin is clear and distinct to see through at that temperature. We do not guarantee that they will work in all temperatures, at colder than about -15 degrees they may be difficult to start and we do our best to make them work.
Even when it snows, the snow is placed on the shell, which sometimes does not disappear completely, it depends on the temperature and heating. During the Northern Lights, we therefore recommend that you go out and see it right outside the cabin, which is a better experience to see the Northern Lights from.
We include a tank of diesel for the diesel heaters for two days, one tank lasts about 15-20 hours. For extra diesel we charge 200 SEK per fill-up.
For families Please note that each igloo can accommodate two adults. If you wish to bring a child aged 1-6, they can either share a bed with you or sleep in an extra bed which we provide at a cost of 500 SEK. For families with more children or children aged 7-17, two or more igloos need to be booked to ensure everyone has plenty of space.
