Ice and Light Village is located 30 kilometers south of Luleå, in the small village of “Mörön”, on the coast of Swedish Lapland. The igloos are located in a forest clearing, right next to an open field. Surrounded by beautiful nature in a very quiet area, this place invites you to relax and take a break from everyday life. With the beautiful and open view, you have a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights from your igloo.
We have five Igloos with the possibility of sleeping ten guests at a time. This makes us a very exclusive accommodation option in Swedish Lapland.
The igloos are located about 100-150 meters from our restaurant and activity center. Upon arrival, you will be helped to take your bags to your igloo and you will walk along the meadow or our cozy illuminated path through the forest. We have a fireplace in the restaurant and a small bar - perfect for relaxing between activities.

Note that Wifi is available in our restaurant and activity center, but not in the igloos so you can fully relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.
When staying overnight in one of our igloos, breakfast is included for two people and is served between 08:30-10:00. The breakfast consists of our typical Swedish version with yogurt, eggs, bread with spreads, some sweet, juice, milk, coffee and tea. It is served as a small buffet.
Due to our location outside the city center, we strongly recommend that you book dinner with us as there are no restaurants nearby and it is not permitted to consume meals in the igloos.

If you have booked our three-course dinner, you can enjoy it between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM in our restaurant, which we lovingly call "The Museum".
Children can choose a three-course menu or a single course with dessert.
Lunch: We offer light lunches on site and some of our activities include lunch. You need to let us know the day before if you would like lunch.
Lunch on site: SEK 180 / person
All drink is paid on site and is not included in the price of the three-course dinner.
Info about Igloo: At temperatures colder than about -15 degrees it becomes difficult for our heater to heat the space between the Igloo shell and the cabin, which means that the window around the Igloo is not completely clear to see through. Most often the area in front of the cabin is clear and distinct to see through at that temperature. We do not guarantee that they will work in all temperatures, at colder than about -15 degrees they may be difficult to start and we do our best to make them work.
Even when it snows, the snow is placed on the shell, which sometimes does not disappear completely, it depends on the temperature and the heating. During the Northern Lights, we therefore recommend going out and seeing it right outside the cabin, which is a better experience anyway to see the Northern Lights in the most clear way.
We include a tank of diesel for the diesel heaters for two days, one tank lasts about 15-20 hours. For extra diesel we charge 200 SEK per fill-up.
For families Please note that each igloo can accommodate two adults. If you wish to bring a child aged 1-6, they can either share a bed with you or sleep in a smaller extra bed that we provide. For families with children aged 7-17, two igloos need to be booked to ensure everyone has plenty of space.
