A winter weekend for the family gives you the opportunity to try many fun winter activities together and experience Luleå's fantastic winter landscape. In addition to a guided scooter tour and a dog sled tour with coffee included in the package, you can also experience snowshoe hiking, hunting for the northern lights by car or scooter, and meeting tame moose and reindeer. The city of Luleå also offers good shopping and several cozy restaurants. You can take a nice walk, ski, skate or kick along the ice trail that stretches from the north to the south harbour. Just outside the center of Luleå you will find the world heritage Gammelstad church town. Here you can visit cozy shops with locally designed products, arts and crafts and experience the beautiful and unique world heritage with or without a guide. You can
visit the science museum Teknikens hus where you can learn about and experiment with everyday technology as well as technology from the large industries in Norrbotten. In Luleå there is also Sweden's largest multi-arena Alcatraz. They offer, among other things, paintball, laser game, go kart, Prison Island, Arcade including VR as well as spa and relaxation.

On arrival in Luleå, you will be welcomed by one of our guides, who will then drive you to your accommodation in the center of Luleå. After checking into your hotel room, the rest of the day is open to explore the city. With the day ahead of you, you have many opportunities. You can stroll through the streets and discover the center, settle down in a cozy cafe and have a coffee or check out one of the many restaurants. You can also travel a bit outside the city to visit the world heritage Gammelstad church village or visit the science museum Teknikens hus.
After enjoying a nice breakfast buffet, a guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at 9.30 to drive you to Måttsund where the scooter tour starts at 10.00. For 2 hours you will experience the winter paradise of Swedish Lapland while driving through forest and the Luleå archipelago. After the tour, you are driven back to your hotel where you can take a lovely hot shower before setting off on your next adventure.
On today's schedule is the dog sled tour "Fikaturen". Once again, one of our guides will meet you in the lobby to give you a ride, this happens about an hour before the activity starts. This activity starts at either 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM, based on your personal choice. The strong dogs will lead you through the forest and meadows for an hour while you enjoy the beautiful landscape. The guide drives you, which provides a fantastic opportunity to take pictures from the sled. When the tour is over, you will be able to settle down and have coffee before returning to the hotel. The entire activity lasts 1.5 to 2.5 hours. You can enjoy the rest of the day in any way you choose.
After a wonderful weekend together in Luleå, it is time to travel home. If you have a couple of hours left before departure, you can have time to relax or do one last activity. But if you're leaving early, it's time to get ready and check out of your hotel. One of our guides will take you to your vehicle and we wish you a safe journey home.
